About the Product

In Japanese culture, a daruma typically has its eyes unfilled when you receive it. Upon making a wish or promise, you fill in one eye. Once that wish or promise is fulfilled, you then fill in the other eye. However, in these darumas, both eyes are already filled. We like to think that you can still make a promise, but if you go back on that promise, the daruma will judge you in its own way.

Each daruma also features a kanji character on its stomach, which represents meaningful values:
